Trackpad in Smart Keyboard doesn’t zoom in or out in google map with iPad Pro 12.9

Since the previous update I can’t zoom in or out with the Smart Keyboard. I am using iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen. iPad is updated to the most recent one 17.4.1

Apple Maps in CarPlay Ever since mid-December, Apple Maps in CarPlay gets locked into 3D and close zoom Apple Maps works fine on the iPhone, the overview icon in the upper right hand corner works, and pinch to zoom in and out functionality works But in CarPlay, there is virtually no touch screen functionality overview touchscreen button in upper right hand corner doesn't work clicking on the minus zoom out button either yields no change or often it zooms in and one can't get into 2D mode (it seems 3D is locked into hyper-zoom) Any ideas? I simply want the overview and zoom out functionality restored in the CarPlay version of Apple Maps

You are quite correct. This a known bug within the Google Maps App.

Zoom gestures, using Trackpad and Keyboard, work as expected when using the online version of Google Maps.
