Simply put:
I highlight in numbers and copy. It works perfect pasting into notepad. But it refuses to paste into pages.

I can copy and paste from a PDF into either numbers or pages, but STILL cannot copy and paste from numbers into pages OR pages into numbers.

I'm having the same problem:

However, I have noticed this works:

This is with Numbers version 14.0 (7039.0.94) and Pages version 13.2 (7038.0.87) on macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224).

Pages, like Numbers, is at version 14.0. Perhaps update Pages too and try again? I have no trouble copy-pasting between the two apps.

Today Pages updated itself to 14.x, and now it is working again.
It is annoying that they got updated out of sync like that, with Numbers automatically updating 12 hours before Pages.
Do you have a third-party clipboard manager or similar application installed on your Mac? If so, that could be causing the behavior. I have no problem copying and pasting between Numbers and Pages.

I’m having exactly the same issue on macOS Ventura 13.6.6. Numbers updated to version 14.0 last night, and now I’m unable to copy from Pages and paste into Numbers. Everything was working normally yesterday before the Numbers update.

I usually just update manually when needed. Easily done at Mac App Store.

I am able to select a table in Numbers, Copy, then Paste it into Pages. I didn't try anything else but it passed that test. Is this what you are trying to do or something else?
