Why don't you support low model phones for many years?

As a practical matter, I don't think it's going to result in any change in what versions of iOS old iPhones can run. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus came out in September 2016 – roughly seven and a half years ago. They originally came with iOS 10, and Apple provided upgrades all the way through iOS 15. They cannot run iOS 16 or 17.
