I am unable to adjust sound volume in HomePod

I have the large sized HomePod as well as 2 mini pods. All are in different rooms within the home. I have to say that the HomePod is probably the worst sounding device I have ever purchased and what makes me even more upset - this is the only way I can listen to my music unless of course, I want to listen to it on a device, which is not ideal as all my devices are not going to deliver a robust sound. Can someone please help me with this problem? I’ve tried increasing the volume on my device as well as manually increasing it on the HomePod and this doesn’t seem to work. There is no way that Apple designed the HomePod to have this terrible sound which cannot be increased to a level of loudness that sound systems should all have. Especially this HomePod, as everything I read about it prior to purchase boasted how great of a sound it delivered and compared it to something as good as a Bose System. Which is so far off from what it really sounds like. Please advise.

First see if asking Siri to raise or increase the volume helps. You can either say hey Siri (if hey Siri is enabled) or press the top center to invoke Siri to ask. Otherwise tap the -&+ to adjust volume.

If none of this works to can try some Restarts. You can restart the HomePod from the Home App and restart the device you’re using (first the close the app you’re using for music) keep in mind the device should be on the same home wifi network as HomePod with keychain also enable and signed into the same Apple ID on both. You can also restart HomePod by unplugging about 10 seconds.

If this all fails, as a last resort you can reset HomePod: Reset HomePod - Apple Support then set it up again .

Other troubleshooting steps might be to reboot your wifi.

The big HomePod sounds very good, try 100% volume to test this out!
