I'm new to Pages. I'm trying to edit a Google Docs file with Pages. It's going well, but when I try to remove the headers and footers, Pages refuses. I've turned off the Headers and Footers check boxes, but that doesn't help by itself. Any ideas?

I just sent myself an email from Google Docs with an exported Google document (e.g. .docx) as a Word attachment. After saving that attachment to my Desktop, I opened it in Pages where the .docx was translated into .pages. By default, no header or footer were present until I enabled them in the Documents panel.
I am using Pages v13.2 on macOS 14.4.1. For me, headers and footers are able to be enabled or disabled in this translated document when opened in Pages.
