Not being able to upload gallery pics on Instagram

Hello,

English is not my first language, but I will try to explain.

I've been having troubles with instagram posting for the past few days. I would open the IG app to post a story, go to the gallery, but when I press on the chosen photo, it doesn't respond. So far I could chose/post at least some of them (they were complitelly random, they didn't have anything in common as for example the size) but now I cannot chose any. They are not responding no matter how many times I click on them.

If I go directly to the gallery and share the photo as IG story from there, it works, but I still cannot edit the photo.

I turned off the phone, reinstalled the app, tried to update the app... Nothing works.

My phone model is Iphone SE 2020 and software 17.4.1. My storage is very full (If that could be a reason)

Can anybody help me?
