Jump to last row

I have a numbers spreadsheet that has above 700 rows. How can I jump to the last row?

If you've got a keyboard you can use command-down arrow.

There do not appear to be any shortcuts for scrolling tables in the iOS version of Numbers. You might be able to shorten the process of scrolling this way, though:

In a new column put the formula ROW()=ROWS(A) in all data rows. It will be FALSE for all but the last row of the table.

Make a filter for that column to show rows that are TRUE.

You can hide this new column.

To use it,

  1. Turn on the filter so only the last row shows. One cell in the last row should be selected already for you.
  2. Turn off the filter. The last row cell will scroll back off the screen again at this point.
  3. Click the little green keyboard icon like you want to edit the selected cell (the one in the last row). The table will scroll to show the last row.
  4. Click Done if you don't actually want to edit that cell

I don't know if this is less work than manually scrolling 700 rows but it certainly would be for longer tables.

With a different formula you could have other rows showing instead of just the last one so you can get to particular other rows in the table more quickly.

Got another idea that requires no formulas or extra columns:

  1. Add a footer row to the table
  2. Set up a filter on any column your choosing. It has to be a filter that will never show a row. For instance, if column B is all numbers, make a filter for "column B text is abc".
  3. Use the filter as in the previous method. You may have to select a footer cell when the filter is on.
