help! MacBook stuck in recovery mode

READ CAREFULLY + THOROUGHLY


-so for starters, MacBook M2, 2023 model, running Ventura

-went in recovery mode, while trying to factory reset I accidentally erased startup disk.

-trying to erase the correct disk and reinstall Mac Ventura, takes 2hr then pops up error message saying erase process failed bc the volume could not be unmounted because it is in use

NEED HELP ASAP!!

Try rebooting into Recovery Mode again to start over by erasing the disk again.


If it still fails, then you will need to try a DFU firmware Restore which will reset the security enclave chip & system firmware as well as pushing a clean version of macOS onto the internal SSD.
