I need to plug in four hard drives with USB C plus an additional screen to my 2020 iMac. As soon as I plug in the screen, it pulls too much power and the hard drives are ejected. What is a good solution for this?

Your USB hub may not have adequate power to it. IF it is a bus powered USB hub then that is almost certainly the cause of the problem. If your USB hub does not have its own power supply then please replace it with a USB hub that has its own power supply.
