Is there a way to reinstate my Apple Card?

I lost my job 5 mos ago so I cudnt make payments but just started a new job last week and my new employer paid my total balance off so I wud have a card to use for my work and it showed open yesterday and today they closed it even though they show receiving payment and now they won’t approve a new one & this wasn’t even sent to collections yet. Isn’t that jumping the gun here ? I always paid it on time the whole time I’ve had it

Did you communicate with the bank at anytime during the last 5 months? Banks report late payments after 30, 60 and 90 days. Generally, they are turned over (sold) for collection. If the account isn’t settled in the first 89 days, you can count on the card being closed permanently and new accounts not opened for multiple years. Some banks have long memories and may never approve a new account.

The fact it didn’t go to collection is a positive and you might want to consider a secured account with Discover Card or perhaps Capital One.
