MacBook Pro / Google Chrome Slow

I will post the etre report in the comments below. Ever since I toggled off "Graphics Acceleration", chrome has been super slow. I had to turn it off as my screen always seems like it was glitching and that was the problem. Then since it's slow now, I check the activity and its always 12gb/16gb ram used. I always keep a lot of tabs open, but thought chrome is suppose to suppress them when not in use.

Any tips? Already got rid of all my extensions besides two and deleted + reinstalled chrome. I want to switch to firefox, but I need the two extensions that are on chrome. Safari sucks on older macbooks too for some reason (2016 macbook pro).
