This has been brought up a few times, but as I rarely use the phone for photos it hasn’t bothered me until now. I have an IPhone 11 and the photos using the front camera (that’s the one facing away from the screen?) are lousy! People have commented on them looking like old Android cheapie phone pictures.
i have reset all settings, held the camera app icon down as I’ve turned off plus a few other suggestions but it’s still the same. Any suggestions?

No, as I said, it’s my iPhone 11 that is giving me blurry photos. My iPhone 6s was brilliant. Of course it may be a scratched lens, but it’s unlikely that all of the people complaining about the same fault had scratched lenses as their phones were new!
I was just wondering if those people had discovered what was going on as I may have the same fault.
If this is for your iPhone 6S, your 8 year old phone may be showing its age. The lens could be scratched, you could have condensation in the internal lens. Or you may be trying to take photos outside of the focus range of the camera.
