Shortcuts that take you on a longer ride than if you just went the normal route

Can some one for the love of God please tell me why you cant create a shortcut to your own collection in apple books!!!! Apple used to be the most user friendly device, then Steve Jobs died and now everything is just so over complicated. Its annoying, to the point I may go to an android!!!!
