Unable to restore iPhone due to Activation Lock and slow internet connection

Hello everyone,

I recently received an email stating that my Apple ID was not active. I contacted Apple customer service and they advised me to request to remove Activation Lock.

Yesterday, I received a notification that my request to remove Activation Lock had been approved. I was instructed to follow the steps in this article: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

I have updated my iPhone to the latest iOS version, but I am having trouble restoring it due to a slow internet connection. I tried to restore my iPhone using my MacBook, but the process failed.

Is it possible to restore my iPhone directly from the device itself?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

No. You need to use a computer. If your connection isn’t fast enough find a friend who has a faster connection, or make a Genius Bar appointment, or take your computer to and use public Wi-Fi at your local library, Starbucks, MacDonald’s, or independent cafe.

BTW, I didn’t know anyone had a slow internet connection anymore. Why is yours slow?
