Multiple different Apple TV's

I have multiple Apple TV’s in my house on the same network. They are all configured to be Home Hubs. Only one of them supports Matter, the rest do not. Do I need to disable all of the non-matter capable units to support matter? I find that the “connected” ATV is rarely the one that supports Matter.

Apple devices that are home hub, and run audioOS/iPadOS/tvOS 16.1 or later, would support Matter. Separate from that, Thread support requires a Thread border router (bridging Thread networking to Wi-Fi), which is supported through: HomePod mini, HomePod (2nd generation), Apple TV 4K (2nd generation), Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) Wi-Fi + Ethernet.

It shouldn’t make a difference which home hub is connected and which ones are standby. If your accessories seem to not connect despite that, then please ask the Apple Support staff for assistance.
