How to fix screen problems with MacBook Pro (13-inch, and Dell Curved USB-C monitor
I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) and my MacBook does not always work with my Dell monitor (Dell 34 Curved USB-C Monitor – S3423DWC).
I am using an Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable (1m) to connect the two devices.
Each time I plug in the cable to the MacBook, either three things happen
- All functionality with the monitor works.
- The MacBook charges as well as the Dell monitor built in docking station functioning. However, the MacBook does not detect the monitor at all (MacBook doesn't display on monitor).
- Nothing works at all.
Now it came to my conclusion it's either a hardware or a software issue with one of the devices. I believe it's the MacBook why?
Well, I used my iPhone 15 Pro with my Dell monitor and it never fails to charge or displaying the content.
I've used non Apple laptops with the monitor and it functions correctly with the monitor.
So, what is the issue I am facing? I really need help as this has been bothering me for the past few days and there's many people who are facing the same issue as me and there is no solution.
This is my MacBook Pro Spec -
