I have a Garmin forerunner 35 and have recently switched from a Samsung phone to an iPhone 15. I am having problems syncing my watch data to the Garmin connect app. The garmin app will record my activities, but not my steps nor my sleep.

Have you tried fully resetting the watch since you switched it over? I've seen fitbits sometimes randomly have issues with data like this when something like the device's name or the entire phone was switched out for a different one.
If it's still an issue, maybe try checking any permissions for the health app? Or maybe the garmin's data doesn't sync with the Apple health app and instead it's own app?
