Pages files in Google Drive

Several years ago I moved all my desktop files to Google Drive in a quick panic. I thought I had also saved to iCloud but I didn't. I now need access to these files but they won't open in Google Drive. So I downloaded the folders to my desktop and I still can't open the files. Even if I remove "icloud" from the file name, it won't open in Pages. The message says "Pages couldn’t read the file. You can try restoring to a previous version." but the previous version is not there.

Does anyone know how to correct this or are all these files lost for me? HELP!

Here's what the file names look like.

.1:5 class plan.docx.icloud

.Springs and Exercises.xlsx.icloud

.Jumpboard.docx

.5:19 Program.pages.icloud

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.6

To open Pages files that were saved to Google Drive, you may need to remove the ".icloud" extension from the file name. If that doesn't work, try downloading the files to your Mac and opening them directly in Pages.
