Apple TV won’t function on Roku express 4K

I have checked for updates, checked the internet connection (which was excellent), uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted Roku, reset Apple TV app…still nothing! I can cast from my phone, but content still won’t play. When I try to log in through the app on Roku, I just get the endless spinning wheel and can’t even get to the screen to enter Apple ID and password. What now?? I’m paying for Apple TV and MLS season pass, but can only watch on my phone!! Not ideal for watching a game with family or guests!! Any ideas??

Roku Express

Another user (mygreensocks) suggested this procedure from Roku Support staff, which reportedly helped several users.

Remove the Apple TV app,
Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),
Wait 30 seconds,
Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,
Reload the Apple TV app.

Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.
