I have several AirPods, pieces, and single AirPods, that I would like to locate the owner for as a been part of my loss and found for a long time, and I would hate to just donate or discard

Unless the owner's of these AirPods, put them into "Lost Mode," and included their contact information, there is nothing you can do, nor anyone here, nor Apple, can do to assist you with finding their owners.
You can check if they did, by placing the AirPods near your iPhone (assuming that you have one) to see that contact info. Note that the AirPods would need to still be charged for this to work.
Also, if those same owner did not disassociate these AirPods from their Apple IDs, they will be useless to anyone else. Resetting them won't change that fact. Looks like you only option would be to dispose of them properly after you determine if they have been in your lost and found long enough.
