I guess this is a known defect in the watch band that has no resolution based on the posts I see. I wanted another one in a different color and thought if it had been a year maybe that was ok. But I looked back and saw it hadnt' even been 6 months. Apple has really let me down on this one.
I've had too many problems with third party bands so I stay with Apple products. But you may want to look at the Sport Loop band. I've had no problems with it. In fact, it works so well (no stretching) I've bought it in 5 or 6 different colors over the years.

I'm also more than a bit surprised that none of the reviews online point out this problem. Points out that they are all likely paid by apple and unwilling to give a truly fair assessment. Any suggestions for a non apple product similar to the solo loop welcomed.
