How to check if iPhone is compromised

I’m actually asking for my son. He has a 12 IPhone. It’s obviously been hacked in a really bad way. To the point he can’t even use it. It put a 12 digit code for the parental mode! He didn’t do that to his own phone! Woke up to it this morning. When he opens his phone every icon he has on it word descriptions say what it is and just blinks over and over. It’s be a nightmare. I told him all I know to do is take to the IPhone store and tell them what’s going on? Any suggestions😤 thank you in advance!

  • Does anyone else know his Passcode? It is not unusual for the younger generation to know each others Passcode without realizing the consequences of giving this personal information to anyone else.
  • Does the screen have any cracks? Bad things happen when the screen gets cracked as the digitizer is built into the screen and it causes "ghost touches" to make changes to your device without you doing anything.

In any case, the Apple Store will be able to perform a diagnostic on the phone and provide solutions. As for it being hacked, no, unless you consider hacking when someone that was given the Passcode makes changes to the device. This is not considered hacking in any sense of the word.

There are no known hack/virus/malware/spyware for a non jailbroken phone.
