Apple Card Incorrect Merchant

For some reason, when I use my cities Passport Parking app, whenever I make a payment using Apple Pay and my Apple Card, it shows up in Apple Wallet as “GoFundMe” rather than say my cities name or the application name. Every single time I’ve reported it, and it reverts to the original statement name, but I’ve been doing this for 3 months almost every day. It’s become extremely annoying.

Apple Card support and Passport Parking support have been completely useless. Anyone have any suggestions or help? I’ve tried resetting the Wallet app, along with reinstalling it. That didn’t help.

The next step if that doesn’t fix it, is to report the location error in your Apple Card. You can do that anyway if you want. It can’t hurt. Please follow the path below.

iPhone > Wallet app > Apple Card > scroll down find transaction from Passport Parking — tap > Transaction History > tap transaction > Report and Issue (link) > Merchant information for this transaction is incorrect > fill in required information and in Add More Details outline the challenges you’re having.

That information is obtained from GPS information. Is you Wallet app settings using precise location? Please follow the link below.

iPhone > Settings app > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Wallet > Precise Location > enable (switch shows green)

You can also file a location error within the Apple Card in the Wallet app on iPhone.

That’s why it’s relevant. The app should be getting GPS data from the Wallet when you use Apple Pay. I’d now check Location Services for the app you’re using.

Interesting, because I couldn’t find it in the settings.

I deleted my account, reinstalled the app, and it prompted me for location permissions.

I’ll test it soon. If it doesn’t work, then I’m not sure what else it would be

It could just be the app not using correct GPS data. I had an issue similar to this for a small business I run. I would process a transaction and it would show that it was done at the dermatologists office next door. Took a month or two to get it fixed.

The best way I can put it is where it shows the icon/logo along with the name. What’s interesting is that the original statement name shows the correct merchant, it’s just what is displayed that is incorrect.
