How to fix text message verification code delays on iPhone 15

I am not receiving texts from for example Coach , Vitacost etc. I also would go into an account like for example PayPal, then they would want to verify it’s me by sending code to text. That wasn’t working. Called Verizon , they said it was fixed. That does now work for that. But last night I was placing an order for beauty item , gave me an offer to sign up for text and get 30% off, I did , never got text back from merchant with code. I always got that before on old phone. Help!! Is it a setting that needs to be changed?

Text message is a Verizon feature not Apple, you'll need to escalate the issue with them.
