Is there a way to see what Macbook inventory my local store has? It takes forever to configure every possible acceptable configuration and check for pickup options. Can't I just see what they have and choose from that?
The local Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Retailers only stocks a couple of different variations and custom configurations can only be ordered from the factory.
If you go to your Apple Store or Apple Authorized Retailer and request a custom configuration, then they can place the custom configuration order for you.
To find out what choices your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Retailer has in stock, then you will need to call or visit them. To find the phone #s and locations go to > Find Locations and click on Find Sales Locations.
