Neither Apple, nor your fellow users offer a printer evaluation service. We can offer opinions on what we use and also recommend a printer supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint service, which eliminates the need for vendor drivers. Also, consider that a new printer on the market may not have drivers for Catalina as it is an older operating system.
And, if you have upgraded from an older version of macOS to Catalina, you are at the mercy of the printer vendor deciding to continue offering Catalina driver support, if not an AirPrint compatible printer. Printer vendors will usually state if their printer is Apple AirPrint compatible.
Some printers recommended here by others may be within, or exceed your unstated budget, printing requirements, and printer capabilities (e.g. color, monochrome, multi-function, speed, etc.)
I happen to use an older Samsung (ML-2955ND) monochrome laser via Apple's AirPrint and works on macOS versions since High Sierra (10.13.6). Others may swear by Brother devices, or even a Xerox VersaLink C405.
