No Delete key in numeric keypad on Iphone during an Active call

For example: When calling a business, there is a delete key (x) when making the initial call. This keypad is the usual black numbers on white background. However, once connected to an automated system, it may ask, "Press one for...". So you bring up the keypad again, but this time it is white numbers on gray background and has no delete key, so when you press option "one" and the system then asks "Please enter your _ number" there is no way to delete the "one" from the display. So, unless by chance your _number begins with number one, it will be invalid.

To be clear, this problem is about that second, "In Call" keypad, not the regular dialing keypad.

I am using iphone 13 Pro with iOS 17.3.1

iPhone 5, iOS 10
