There are so many people asking about this Apple Record Store charge. There is never an answer like, it's an app or anything. My elderly parents are getting this charge every month on their Amex too. I have to help them log in to see what the heck it is. It's driving me crazy that there are no answers about this. Is it an app?
There are no answers because we can’t see what you’re seeing.More than likely a fraudulent charge. My best guess is their credit card is compromised and the information has been sold on the Dark Web and is being used for subscriptions with fraudulent companies. It’s a common scam to put the name of a large international company like Apple, Google, Samsung etc in the fictitious name on the charge. Everyone sees the common name and just assume it’s a charge for something they purchased or subscribed to.
Contact the bank that issued the compromised credit card and have them cancel the card and issue a new card.
