Logitech Combo Touch Trackpad issue

Trackpad doesn’t work and I am not sure what to do here. It’s a bit frustrating to say the least. I’ve tried pressing down the QWE + Option/Alt keys down for minutes and it wouldn’t trigger the Firmware Update from Logitech. If I understand correctly, it should be able to work if I manage to trigger the on-screen iPad keyboard, but for the life of me I am not sure how to “summon” it within the very basic and useless Logy-App.

Can someone help, please. Everything works but the trackpad.
