FaceTime saying to sign in when it is already signed in

hi, so when I go to call specific contacts on FaceTime it just tells me that I need to login first, but I’m already logged in through my iCloud account and my phone number only certain contacts

I am also having this issue. I was traveling abroad but haven’t been able to shake this since coming back. I attempted to sign out and back in of my iCloud account, and restart my account, all to no avail.

iMessage appears to work, as does everything else, just FaceTime is having the issue. I get an error message that says “Activate FaceTime to make and receive FaceTime calls” and when I click “sign in” it just redirects me to the FaceTime app, but there’s no where to sign in.
