It seems like something unexpected occurred during your FaceTime call on your iPhone 14 Pro.

  1. Accidental Group Call: Your friend might have accidentally started a group FaceTime call instead of a regular one. This can happen if they set their FaceTime to start calls with "Contacts" and accidentally selected your contact along with someone else's while making the call.
  2. Participant Disconnection: If it was a group call, the other person might have joined briefly and then left, which could explain why you saw someone else in the call before it ended.

Here's what you can do to confirm and stop it from happening again:

  1. Ask your friend: Simply check with your friend if they accidentally started a group FaceTime call. They might not have realized it.
  2. Check FaceTime settings: Both of you can go to Settings > FaceTime and make sure "Start New FaceTime With" is set to your preferred option (like your phone number or Apple ID) to prevent accidental group calls.
  3. Identify the unknown contact: If you remember the name of the unknown person, you can check your address book to see if it's someone you know or if it was mistakenly saved.

By following these steps, you should understand what happened and avoid unexpected group calls in the future.
