my emails often have the worng headers

Apple Mail routinely shows me a list of new emails and when I click on them the content is from some other email. For example, I clicked on an email from Apple News, but when it opened it was an email from a friend. This ticks me off because it will sort things into the junk folder for example with the wrong header and the real content under it is something I wanted to read. The opposite is also true. I think I'm opening an email based on the header from someone I want to read only its some other content when it opens. It happens in both Safari in the browser and also in the desktop app.
