I had lost my old iphone somewhere in the house and I had turned on lost my device. When I found it after 2 years or so. I turned it on and all data seems to be erased. On find my phone, it shows iphone erased this year on the day I turned it on. Please help with data recovery. Not all data is backed up on icloud.

There is not any Data Recovery software that will be able to help. There are many that advertise that they can do that, but they will just scam you out of your money. Some even claim they guarantee success, but you will have problem getting your money back as you will getting your data back from the device.
When you marked the device as Lost using Find My, it was also set to be erased. When you found the device and turned it on, it made a data connection and processed the erase command. The data will only be able to be recovered from the device if you had a backup before it was lost. Using the iCloud backup is the default method to back up your device and if you did not turn it off yourself, you will be able to restore all of your data from this iCloud backup.
More precisely, executing “Mark as Lost” does not erase any on-phone content.
However, executing Remote “Erase” — the “adjacent button” in FindMy — DOES INDEED perform that function; and might appear to be what the OP actually performed 2-years ago.
The only data that can be recovered is what had been saved in your iCloud backup.

Correct. I was also suggesting that the device was set to erase at the same time that is was Marked as Lost, not that marking it as lost automatically erases the device. I could have worded that more clearly to note they are 2 different actions.
Thanks all for replying. I found it and when I turned it on. Not sure what exactly happened. It just prompted me to select country and everything as though setting up a new phone. So, I stopped and tried to restart. Then I went back to find my phone on my new iphone and realized that it shows this phone was erased the same day I found it. May be I selected erase data when switched on. Is there anyway I can recover the data please? I have so many photos :(
