How can I import a song from Apple Music into Garage Band to change the key of a song ?

I saw that you can do this with Garage Band, which I have. The problem is DRM. I pay for apple music, shouldn't I be able to import a song into garage band for my own personal use? If it's possible, how do you do it?

I don't subscribe to the Apple Music service, and there are a lot of aspect of the music app that seem less than ideal to me. Most of it revolves around the software incorrectly identifying music versus audiobooks, and chapters within audiobooks, or lectures within educational videos. I get music when I want talking and vice versa, and a book that has 10 chapters might play 3,7,9,1,4 etc. or might play chapter 7 and then just stop. And the software makes it hard for you to manually correct these things. Am I the only one with this issue?

Apple Music Hi All, I have an Apple Music subscription and I want to edit a song with logic pro x, I cant normally drag a song to the desktop and then into logic, except for this time. Incase it was the subscription causing the problem I have also purchased the song via the iTunes Store and tried to do the same with that file with no success. I assume this is a copyright thing, but whhhhy. Is there a legitimate way of doing this? 2018 top spec 15" MacBook Pro (latest os and all up to up to date) 2015 iPhone 6s plus 2017 iPad Pro 12.9" Regards, Josh

Sounds like you already know the answer, but no. If you want an editable copy, you need to purchase it.
