Question about macbook charging

Hi, i tried to test power draw from my charger for my macbook pro [pd up to 65w], before last update when testing on my usb cable it is shown to charge on 65W but after last update it is only drawing 30-35 watt depending if i open application or not sometimes goes to 40 if i running many application all at once . i want to ask is it normal or there is a possibility that my charger is broken

update:

even if it is shown to charge at 30W somehow it still takes the same amount to charge the laptop, and on system report detected charger still output at 65W

Hi,

like iPhone batteries, MacBook batteries also have an optimised charging feature, if you have this turned on, your macbook will dynamically adjust how much power is being drawn to charge the battery based on things like load and overall battery condition, as well as how you use your MacBook on a day to day basis.

In short, your charger is fine :)

Hope this helps
