Why can’t I clear my search history

I am trying to clear my search history so I went to settings and that was gray and didn’t let me press it so now I came on the app safari and tried to click the “clear” button but that was also gray and I couldn’t tap that button either.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

You will see the option greyed out if:

There is no search history to clear
There are restriction set at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Web Content. This must be set to "Unrestricted".
