My iPhone (or iPad) every week on Sunday reminds me, with Siri's voice, to "Take out the trash". I didn't set that reminder. What app is doing that? Every Sunday I get this voice reminder I have not setup.

The kicker is that our Trash day (or the day I should be reminded of it) is Thursday, not Sunday.

Yet every Sunday at 6:30 pm Siri tells me to take out the trash.

I believe is the iPhone, since it's new while the iPad is older and I don't remember ever getting these voice reminders.

In fact, I have no idea how to set one up. I'd love to be able to have Siri remind me of things occasionally rather than just pop it on screen.

What gives?

Thank you.

Turns out it was an Amazon Alexa I thought it was turned off. It was in a box behind my iPad/iPhone holder next to my desktop.

Took me a while to figure that out.

Sorry for the bother.

By default, iPhones do not have this feature.

Look for Apps that may trigger this. It could be an event from your Calendar too.

A list of a few of the apps from the App Store may trigger these.
