iPhone 15 pro battery health fall to 96%

Well, I bought iphone 15 pro on 22nd of November and exactly after a month I faced a lot of issues like battery health drop to 99, overheating while charging, screen blackout for several minutes and a lot of heating during video calls of even 1 or 2 minutes. It is my first time buying an iphone and I am totally shattered. I even went to my nearby jump+ store they gave me the excuse that its because of using phone for several hours a day. This wasn't acceptable at all. I don't even watch movies or play games on iphone for that i use my old android phone because if it's overheating issues. Now, its 7 of april my battery health has dropped to 96%. This is really disappointing for apple's customer who's using it for the first time.

It's not disappointing at all.

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.

You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.

Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

My battery cycle count is only 109 however the battery health dropped to 96%. This is really disappointing.

This is perfectly normal. Battery Health declines an average of about 1% for every 25 charge cycles.

So, 109 divided by 25 = 4.36%

Apple only displays whole numbers, so we don't know whether your current Battery Health is 96.9% or 96.1%. Either way, things are normal.

If you need more information, please make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop so they run a battery check and test......and confirm that your battery is performing normally.

You bought the phone on November 22, 2023. Today is April 7, 2024, but let's pretend that it is April 22, 2024.

That would make your phone 5 months old. Battery Health normally declines an average of about 1% a month, so after 5 months it would be normal to expect that Battery Health would be at about 95%.

At 96%, your battery is doing a bit better than average. I'm not sure why you feel disappointed. Your battery is doing better than mine and likely better than a lot of other users considering the averages.

I don't know what a "jump" store might be, but if you want more information about the battery, you would want to take the phone to an Apple Store or an authorized Apple service shop. They have special equipment on hand to test a number of different things about the battery.

It's been 7 months and 11 days since I got the iPhone 15 Pro. Currently, my battery health percentage is at 95%. However, I've been experiencing excessive overheating issues with the phone. In order to cool it off, I've had to switch it off several times. I've been using an Apple adaptor to charge my phone up to 80%, and despite that, I couldn't make it through half a day of use. I upgraded from the iPhone 12 to the 15 Pro, and I've noticed that the iPhone 12 had much better battery backup at 86% of battery health. Is there any solution for this?
