Hi. I have checked internet, loaded latest iol 12.7, rebooted, reinstalled WhatsApp and I am still not receiving the verification code. What can be the problem? Can’t you use WhatsApp on iPhone 6? Wanted to give the phone to my son

You need to have an SMS/MMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS/MMS services.
Thank you. There is a SIM card in the phone and the phone does receive phone calls and sms’ but for some reason won’t record the sms verification via sms or phone call from whatsapp
