Turning on Apple Music automatically when connecting iphone to pc

I have had iTunes on my PC for years. When I purchased a new iPhone, I-Tunes changed to Apple music. when connecting the iPhone to my pc, I-Tunes would no longer open (just photos). I would have to do it manually. I contacted Apple support, and I was told to download Apple Music, Apple TV (which I already had) and Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store. When I did that, the computer wanted to download before updating. The download took 32 hours, for a 7.66GB file. I waited for a day and a half, and when done, it still doesn't open when I connect my iphone. Apple Support does not understand this. It only refers to syncing. Is this feature deleted?
