How do I install memory in my iMac 27in, Retina 5K, 2019 model?

If you're upgrading your memory to speed up the Mac that won't do it. Additional memory only lets you open and process more documents or larger documents/photos.


What speeds up boot time and application launch time is a faster drive. What type of drive do you have currently: Fusion, HHD or SSD?


Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?


If you do add more memory I recommend you get it only from Crucial.com or OWC (MacSales.com). They are considered the premier memory suppliers for Macs and guarantee they will work in the model the are designed for. And only get it from their websites as others may carry the brand but they may be lower quality pieces that didn't pass their rigid testing standards fully.
