Making Cinema Display brighter through Macbook Pro

Hi everyone.

I have an old Cinema Display which I have been using since I bought it years ago. It is connected to my new MacBook Pro I bought last year. Everything works well but I can't make the Cinema Display brighter. When I increase brightness on the powerbook, only it brightens up not the Cinema Display. All cables are connected to powerbook. Hard to edit photos if it's not bright. Can anyone help me. I appreciate it.
