Apple has cancelled my applecare+ and not notified me

I took my i phone 14pro max into the shop today with an issue that was luckily fixed with a restore so it must have been a software issue, while I was there the genius said it was outside its warranty and I replied that there was applecare+ on it and he said theres none on his system.

To my surprise apple had cancelled my policy with no notification claiming that my bank had declined the payment, I spoke to my bank and they reassured me nothing has been declined and that no request for payment had been made and are willing to give me proof of this. Apple are saying nothing can be done as its over 30 days and trying to put the onus on me for not spotting it sooner.

I do admit that a long time has passed but I had just assumed that the payments were still going out its only for £12.49 and to be honest I dont know anyone who would fully check their statments to notice that amount was missing(all my other apple charges ie: icloud storage and I music went out fine from the same account at the same time)also I had another reason that I might not have been fully screening my bank statments as my partners had just lost her youngest brother to cancer I brought this up with customer support and felt like this was dissmissed by them, The customer support have admitted that they cannot supply emails that prove they contacted me for payment or that the policy was cancelled if I had received them they would have been acted on even with what was going on.

The problem lies with apple and there is only two resolutions I would accept either they reinstate the applecare+ or refund me my full amount i have already paid and I will donate it all to the teenage cancer trust as Im fundraising for them, Apple need to have a good look at themselves its a shameless way to treat a loyal customer

Sorry, but this is simply a case of a missed payment and the responsibility does fall on you. There have been much worse scenarios where people have missed Life Insurance payments to find out they no longer have any coverage. You cannot rely on anyone else to give you a final notice or any other communication and your only recourse for denied coverage in any circumstance would be to prove that you did make the payment, not for the company to prove that they sent you a cancellation notice.

Dear Mac Jim ID I cant see how the responsiblilty falls on me?? when they clearly have not attempted to take the funds Barclays bank assured me that if they had there would be a trail of this and there is none. And apple have also admitted that their policy is to inform me of a non payment and cancellation and that never happened, they have no records of any mail sent and I assure you if it did I would have acted upon it. Its probably a computer glitch but Apple should own up to it and do the right thing customer services have dropped the ball here.
