What happens depends greatly on the details of the situation.

If your iPhone is associated with a different Apple ID not yours, it can be remotely locked.

If your carrier plan is cancelled, you can acquire a second SIM or eSIM.

if the iPhone is locked to a carrier, the SIM or eSIM must be from that carrier, or the iPhone must be carrier-unlocked.

If the iPhone is reported lost or stolen and the IMEI gets blacklisted, the iPhone will not be useable.

I was under her plan because I would send my portion of the phone bill to her and she pays it but we got into a dispute today and she said my phone will be turning off … couple hours later my phone service turns off and it’s says SOS at the top can I go and get another Esim ?

Probably. See above.

Carrier Lock might restrict your choice of carrier, if this iPhone is carrier locked. See my reply above.

And if this iPhone is associated with a different Apple ID, it can be bricked. See above.

It’s definitely not a blacklisted phone , and this is my Apple ID I don’t share it and with carrier lock would I be able to go to T-Mobile then ? And I read the options I appreciate your help

If T-Mobile is holding the carrier lock, they would be your only choice of carrier.

Check with T-Mobile and learn if they are willing to sell you a plan.
