hello, my mac book pro 2020 keyboard is malfunctioning but consistently at least. Every 6th key isn't responding. So 5/T/G/B. I've tried everything I've seen online to fix it. Updated the software. Hard reset the macbook. Took the keys off and cleaned them. Went into setting, turned slow keys off, reset keyboard. Everything. Its just really bizarre and wanted to come on here for help before having to take it to apple support techs. Its not an external keyboard and it has no major damage to it, from dropping to getting it wet. it might be really easy so open to all ideas. thank you guys.
Keys associated on the diagonal like your example indicates a hardware issue— your keyboard has a fault.
Keyboards are replaced not repaired— this would be a top case replacement.
In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

The alternative is use an external keyboard plugged in, maybe bluetooth if you can get it to register...
