How do I expand a Apple Notes 2 column list wider?

Using Apple Notes in iOS 17.4.1, on a 11” iPad Pro, I created, somehow, I dont remember how I did it, 2 column lists in Notes. Now I want to expand the width of the two column list box. How?

You can add columns and rows to the table by first tapping the table itself - and then tapping the associated ellipsis ("...") button.

As for resizing the table to extend the width of the table, this does not appear to be possible in iPadOS 16.x/17.x
