Anti virus software for the ipad2 pro
My iPad runs slow and crashes a lot. It has the newest updates installed. I have restarted several times and no luck. Does anyone have any advice? Or suggestions for antivirus software?
iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

Any performance issue that you may be experiencing is highly unlikely to be due to malware.
There are no AntiVirus scanning products for iOS/iPadOS. Due to the sandboxed security architecture, an AV process is unable to scan the filesystem - any more than malware can escape its own sandbox and infect the host computer.
Providing that you have not attempted to jailbreak your device - or have bypassed protections by side-loading third-Apps (if you don’t know what this is, then don’t worry about it), then it is highly unlikely that your device will have been infected with a virus or other malware.
Any performance deficit is more likely to be the result of limited system resources (CPU and RAM), most commonly associated with older models of iPad.
Ensure that you have adequate free storage-space. It is generally recommended that you aim to keep at least 5-6GB of free space at all times - as iPad needs temporary storage to complete many system operations.
A simple forced restart of your iPad will often resolve performance issues, as the restart will release system resources:
Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)
If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:
Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)
Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

There is no advice or suggestion as there is no need for antivirus software.
Basic troubleshooting:
Restart, Reset, Restore from backup and Restore as NEW.
I would add how much storage free storage space do you have?
I have done several forced restarts and have 48 GB of free space left. Any other thoughts??? Thanks
