I am getting unwanted text messages on my iPhone 13 mini. What do I do to block these messages? Is there anyway I can discourage someone from finding my phone number and sending unsolicited messages. I have received two personal and one political message.

To block the sender, click on the message thread, click the top icon - click info - block callers.
No there no way to discourage them, text will come in waves until they move on to the next number.
Thanks! Under "Messages" I have a picture of a person in a round image with the phone number underneath it. I have blocked the numbers as you had instructed, but these images are still on the text message display. How do I remove them?
