Downloading Pages on onto OS 10.14 Mojave.

I had to roll back my Apple OS to Mojave because it was struggling with the latest. When I did that I lost Pages, my main word processor and the way to open older documents. After some searching, I found that if I opened Apple App Store and searched Pages, then looked to the bottom left of the pages I saw my icon and name, I pressed that to open up a list of all the Apps I had previously downloaded. I went to the pages Button, pressed Option+Download icon (which is a cloud and down arrow) I could then download the latest compatible version. Has anybody else got a way to do this, to get an older unpupported version of Pages?

The process that you describe for obtaining a compatible version of Pages for an older operating system has been mentioned here countless times by me, and others.

Where it would not work is if the Mac was originally purchased from a reseller, or Apple who pre-loaded Pages, Numbers, and Keynote on it. Then, you would have no Apple ID with which to retrieve these applications, and Apple provides no other download site for full versions of older releases of these applications.
