“Unknown Error (-54)” message when trying to import my CDs onto my MacBook.

So, recently, I’ve been getting this stupid message above when trying to import my CDs onto my MacBook Pro. Has Apple suddenly stopped allowing the importing of CDs as they do with not importing DVDs? What’s going on here!? Can this be fixed!?

Transferring Music Files:

You are transferring this to a locked folder. Not certain which one, though. So, transfer this to a folder on your Desktop.

  1. Go here: If you See Error -54 when Syncing with your Computer - Apple Support
  2. As it reads: "This can happen if a file on your computer or on your iOS or iPadOS device is locked. Click OK to continue the sync."
